Vintage Navajo Sterling Silver Old Kingman Turquoise Squash Blossom Necklace

  

This listing features a vintage mid century Navajo squash blossom necklace handcrafted from Sterling Silver and Kingman Turquoise. This authentic Navajo necklace was handcrafted by a Silversmith during the early-mid too mid century.

It features a classic squash design of natural semi-free form Kingman stones laid in sterling silver. This is the perfect squash for daily wear, as it is not overly large like so many on the market today and it lays perfectly which is rare.

It's made extremely well with heavy gauge silver and has a sturdy weight of 151 grams. The stones portray light color hues of green too blue with black spotty matrixes and a satin polished finish.

Each stone is in excellent vintage condition, free from cracks/chips, and sit tightly bezeled. The stones appear to be very old having a texturized finish and fading however, they still have good color.

Photos 4 though 9 of the listing compare the best to the stones in person/real life color shade. Twisted rope surrounds each stone followed by semi-circles and droplets creating a flower like design. The 10 blossom have triple fluted petals, all of which are in perfect shape. The petals are solid and strong and can't be bent out of shape easily. The original bench beads are also in excellent condition and strung on a braided foxtail chain with a classic hook and eye clasp at each end. There is no sterling stamp or Artist hallmark which is very common of the era however, testing proves the silver to be. This old squash will be a great addition to any vintage collection. Naja Measurements - The Naja measures 2-7/8" tall by 2-5/8" wide. Blossom Measurements - The 10 blossoms start by the Naja measuring 1-1/2" long by 3/4" wide.

They slightly taper down in size, as they go up the necklace, with the last two measuring 1-1/4" long by 5/8" wide. Pearls/Bench Beads Measurements - The pearls have a diameter/width of 1/4. Stamped Sterling - NO, tested and verified. Signed by Artist - NO. Mid Century, 1950's +. Condition - Preowned, in excellent vintage condition with all of its original stones and a naturally aged dark patina, ready to wear or display.
